All the feels with this family!! This session was an adventure and only another photographer would appreciate and understand the organized chaos of minis. Thankfully my sweet friend Amanda knows this biz all too well and we just have to roll with it. For starters the entire drive up it was raining, drizzling, just yuck. I literally put all faith in my weather app that said we would have a 1 hour break in the rain. And what do you know, we did!! We chanced it and it totally paid off, I LOVE these!!
On a side note, I wished Texas looked like this year round.

Part 2 of yesterday’s newborn session!! Soothe, soothe, and soothe some more!! It’s important to stay calm during this process and keep a tranquil pace. Babies feel everything including your energy and anxiety. Going into a newborn session with a plan will always eliminate anxiety on your end. All we can do as photographers is keep a calm steady pace for our babies and families and everything will work out!

Say it with me, workflow is everything!! Going into a newborn session with a plan is way better than going with the flow.
Before my customer walks in the studio I know everything about their baby, weight, medical issues, even jaundice! This helps me determine the size prop and even colors to use. This baby had a cleft lip so every pose I had planned, I had a backup plan for an awake baby just in case. Thankfully he was calm and had no issues with his poses!!
Again, workflow is everything.
