Part 2 of yesterday’s newborn session!! Soothe, soothe, and soothe some more!! It’s important to stay calm during this process and keep a tranquil pace. Babies feel everything including your energy and anxiety. Going into a newborn session with a plan will always eliminate anxiety on your end. All we can do as photographers is keep a calm steady pace for our babies and families and everything will work out!

Say it with me, workflow is everything!! Going into a newborn session with a plan is way better than going with the flow.
Before my customer walks in the studio I know everything about their baby, weight, medical issues, even jaundice! This helps me determine the size prop and even colors to use. This baby had a cleft lip so every pose I had planned, I had a backup plan for an awake baby just in case. Thankfully he was calm and had no issues with his poses!!
Again, workflow is everything.

Hey y’all! I’m Deanna Addison — a photographer based in Spring, Texas, and I have been lucky enough to capture life’s most beautiful moments for the past 17 years. From tiny newborn toes to proud graduates and sweet family bonds, I have loved every second behind the lens.

When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me with my favorite people — my family. We live for game nights and great food. As of lately, I’ve developed a new obsession with juicing. I realize when you reach a certain age your priorities shift to a healthier lifestyle. I am not perfect, but I try to do better each day.

I love to laugh and joke. Effectively pulling off a good prank on my kids can quickly become the highlight of my day. Movie quotes are my jam, mostly comedies, and always Step Brothers. “Did we just become best friends?” “YUP!”

You can find me either outside exploring or wrapped in a blanket snuggling — no in-between especially with winter lingering. I am not a morning person by nature, but I will rise and shine when duty calls. I’m a glass is half-full kind of girl. I believe that positivity and purpose go hand-in-hand, and I bring that energy into every session.

I truly love this journey, the amazing families I get to meet, and the memories we create together. Let’s keep the good times rolling — I’d love to help tell your story next!
